I've Just had something of a trip down memory lane. It's an odd thing having blog that has just been sitting there for over four years. Or four years bar some erratic random post in 2005.

That picture below, the one with the policeman. A friend of mine looked at it a couple of weeks ago and then made a remark about how I had "faked" my arrest.

I remember when that photo was taken. It was in Scotsdale Arizona, during the build-up to the last debate of the 2004 US Presidential campaign. We were behind a couple of rings of security when I chanced upon the gentlemen you see below. They were Arizona motorcycle cops.

Now, if you have grown up in France, you will know that, with the possible exception of Lucky Luke, there can be nothing cooler than an Arizona Motorcycle cop.

I had to have a pic with them.

The people I was with froze with fear when I asked if one of them could take it. They told me not to ask. Something could happen.

I did ask. One of them said no. His reason , I jest not, was that he was wearing the "incorrect" uniform.

I must have looked at the picture twenty times and only now do I see that it looks like a mock arrest.

The cop with the 'tache has his hands on the banister and I'm trying to puff my puny self up by putting my hands behinds my back.

Then there is the photo diary.

It probably looks rather boring without an explanation. I didn't really talk about it at the time because I (and everybody else around me) was too paranoid.

My cousin, John Kerry was running for president. Not wanting to sit on my dérriere while I could in some small way do something about the bull in a chinashop that has only now just left the whitehouse,

I went to Tucson, Arizona to volunteer for in the election, the photodiary below tells a good story of that. Some captions are needed, however. That will be done.

It merits a story doesn't it. The story of some obscure Kerry relative and his part in not getting Bush out of power.
